Insightful |

Brinkman |
Insightful,
"Indy" is
1999 bay Trakehner mare by Hailo out of Icon, 16.2
hands. This half sister to Incantare is truly
beautiful in conformation and gaits. Her uphill
carriage, elegant, athletic way of going and great work
ethics speak to a high powered career as a dressage star.
She foaled one stallion prospect that is shown on Valhalla
Farm's website under 2003 foals, giving birth to her Beaujolais colt.
Indy is an awesome woman's horse for amateur or professional with FEI goals..

Beaujolais, "Beau", imported in 1999 at 11yrs old.
This horse was a successful re-school for Erin. He had been kept
in a stall for almost 8 years after an injury at age 4. He had
almost no handling and was bucking off his riders. Erin
categorized him as quite wild, and very much in the minus scale in his
training. She was very happy and proud to be able to eventually
train him thru fourth level. In 2001, he was 2nd place in the
region three championships at 2nd level with a 69% and third place third
level with a 68%.
Beau was the cover page of "Hunter and
Sport Horse", 2000, with an article Erin wrote about the
"Deep Riding Controversy ". Axel Steiner later emailed
Erin that this was "a very good article". |

with Herwig Radnetter.
In 2003, Limbo was 16th place USDF
HOY at Intermediare 1, with a median of 68.250%.
Limbo helped Erin break
into the 70 percentile at FEI. They went on to do very well in the
USET classes in 2004, earning 13th place nationally.

Sunrise,
"Sunny", imported by Erin in 1999.
Sunny was sold back to Germany and is currently finishing
her Grand Prix training. |
“Erin Brinkman
has always been blessed with a natural feel for riding,
although she will tell you she had to work very hard to gain good body
control. She is incredibly thorough
with every horse she encounters
and just seems to speak “horse”. She
seems to me to always be evolving
in her approach to horses and I am quite often brought to tears by her
riding! She is an enthusiastic
trainer and it has been an honor to
have been her best friend for these last 10 years... “
